Position Summary


Develop and implement strategies, tactics and marketing plans required to achieve revenue, profit objectives and client satisfaction. Target market will include design only, construction only, and design build projects in the MILCON arena.



Mason & Hanger is an integrated full-service design/build firm in the process of strengthening our capabilities and extensive experience focused on serving U.S. military projects. We are expanding our Engineering and Construction operation in Overland Park, KS. On November 12th we will be holding a "mini-Job Fair" and Interview Event at a local hotel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ability to develop strategic market entry and business growth strategies for target markets in the engineering and construction arena. Sample project types: vehicle/equipment maintenance facilities; aviation support facilities; hangers; munitions processing/handling facilities; and command and control facilities.

Strong analytical skills, presentation skills, and ability to interact with various levels within the organization, and across company divisions.

Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment while meeting multiple deadlines.

Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to obtain security clearance if required by business direction.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of the federal contracting process, to include congressional appropriations process, military construction program execution process, and federal agencies, responsible for project execution.

Knowledge and skill in preparing professional proposals in response to client Request for Proposal (RFP) documents.
Directed contact marketing and development of strategic relationships within targeted prospect accounts.

Researched and communicated trends in the military/federal markets.

Monitored and analyzed opportunities, sales activities, plans and business relationships in the military and federal markets (USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEE or USPFO).

Managed proposal development efforts in response to client request for proposal documents.

Proven track record identifying and developing strategic teaming relationships with other companies to pursue opportunities in the design build target markets.

Developed strategic marketing plans for engineering and construction target markets.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 60%

Minimum Education and Experience


Education: Bachelors Degree

Experience: 7-10 years business development and marketing experience implementing strategic marking plans for an architectural, engineering or construction services organizations serving military and federal clients.
