Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer, Sr. Specialist is an expert whose purpose is to transform and support the processes and IT systems that are used in the development and support of the measurement of components on the Indianapolis site. The essential duties of this position are as follows: Support development and execution of Measurement Systems methods, policies and procedures for Coordinate Measuring Machines. Train and guide an hourly CMM Programming team in Calypso techniques and measurement best practices. To be the expert in the processes and methodologies used in Measurement Systems on the Site and represent the sites needs as required in any global development activities. Support the Manufacturing Engineering and Operations community during and after the implementation of new systems to ensure adherence to the new ways of working. Utilize formal project management tools where required to ensure performance, budget, and schedule requirements are met. Practice and promote lean methodologies and continuously seek productivity improvements. Interface across the entire Operations and Engineering communities and promote teamwork and the pursuance of common goals. Develop networks both within and outside of Rolls-Royce globally to ensure the sites vision and strategy are in line with best practices.

Job Requirements
Basic:Bachelor's degree in engineering field and 9 years of experience or Masters degree with 7 years of experience in Measurement Systems experience required. Experience in the implementation & support of CMM Programming software. Experience working with CMM's, GD&T, manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances, equipment, machining fundamentals, and measurement system analysis. Preferred:The ideal candidate will have a high level of understanding of computer/systems automation and metrology principles.Prefer candidate will be experienced with implementation & support of Zeiss/Calypso CMM Programming software.
