Primary Work Location:  Houston Galleria Office

Regular/Temporary:  Regular

Job Summary:Responsible for supervising a staff of professional accountants, reviewing financial statements (Midstream, Partners, partnerships) for compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements, along with ensuring controls and supporting documentation are appropriately completed.Essential Functions:
  • Lead and develop a growing team (currently 4) of natural gas marketing/pipeline accountants in recording and analyzing financial results for the segment.
  • Provide input into the development of transfer and netback pricing strategies in various regions and among multiple assets.
  • Assist in the management of changing needs of the group as the organization expands its downstream marketing efforts
  • Foster a strong relationship with the Commercial organization and clearly communicate financial operating results to that organization
  • Provide thorough analysis into various inquiries and projects as they present themselves
  • Serve as a primary contact with DCP's internal and external auditors.
  • Accountable for all aspects of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Ensures financial statements are in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements, as applicable
  • Actively participates in development of supervised staff members to provide appropriate development and advancement opportunities
  • Answers and resolves internal and external customer inquiries

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.5-10 or more years related accounting experience as a degreed professional or equivalent related accounting experience. Desired Qualifications:CPA/MBAGas Industry ExperienceFlexible to work overtime during peek hoursSupervisory level experience.Superior analytical skillsMotivated, self starterExcellent organizational skills.*CB
