Job Description

Center Valley, PA - The Audio Visual (AV) Design Engineer will work with the Senior Design Engineering Team to develop AV solutions based on customer requirements, pre-sales translation of customer needs into solutions and proposals, component identification and qualification, and support development of integration products and systems. EOE M/F/D/V

 * Translate AV solutions into proposals, including system design functionality, diagrams, and specifications.

 

* Develop and manage proposals for the Endoalpha Systems Integration projects.

 

* Develop the initial design recommendations, and make the required changes prior to customer acceptance.

 

* Develop AutoCAD drawings based on customer and site requirements.

 

* Assist inventory with reconciling complex orders based on design modifications and suggest vendor/product selection based on system designs.

 

* Assists Product Engineering to coordinate installations.

 

* Provide continuous engineering support throughout the project management of installations from inception through implementation.

 

* Coordinate technical details related to system deliverables HW and SW with vendors and the internal development team.

 

* Work with Sales Consultants, customers, and the customer's facility support to confirm functional requirements and designs before and during the installation process.

 

* Support product development with design input and design implementation.

 

* Participate in prototype evaluation, design reviews, test and verification, beta test, and other related development activities.

 

* Provide pre-sales technical support to Sales Consultants and/or Sales Representatives.

 

* Support the selection and qualification of components required for custom and standard integration solutions.

 

* Support the development of QMS processes and procedures as related to job focus.

 

* Provide technical support for escalated customer issues.

 

* Maintain assigned Team Track actions including investigation, resolution, root cause analysis, and update Team Track records.

 

* Maintain knowledge and proficiency with established policies and procedures.

 

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED)

 

* A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is required.

 

* A minimum of 5 years of experience in AV engineering is required.

 

* Experience in medical instrumentation and video imaging is preferred.

 

* Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent design programs is required.

 

* A working knowledge of electronics and AV equipment is preferred.

 

* Experience with managing vendors and contractors and directly managing design and/or development projects is essential.

 

* The ability to interact with sales, technical field personnel, management, and customers is necessary.

 

* Strong written and verbal communications skills are vital.

 

* Must possess a high degree of self-reliance, initiative, and creativity.

 

* A high degree of personal organization and the ability to work well under pressure is essential.

 

* Must have the ability to work flexible hours as required.

 

* The ability to travel to support engineering, sales, and marketing activities is required.
