Requirements:

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, with minimum of 5 years actuarial experience in the individual life and A&H areas
  • College graduate. Major in actuarial science, mathematics, business/accounting or computer science preferable
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Very good oral and written communication skills
  • Polysystems, SAS, and ALFA or other modeling software knowledge a plus

    Education: Bachelors

    Experience: 6-9 years

    Description:

    Valuation, ALM, and actuarial analysis support for the MEASA Region. Specific functions include the following

  • Support all aspects of financial reporting for the Middle East Region, especially in regard to GAAP Financial Statements, Actuarial Opinions, professional standards, and regulatory compliance. Prepare, review, and analyze various actuarial items for territories in the region
  • Review and recommend appropriate methodologies and assumptions for new products and special product features. Oversee implementation
  • Perform recoverability analysis. Review and analyze expenses and revenue deferrals
  • Ensure the integrity of the valuation process and results produced
  • Assist with the preparation of actuarial items for territorial budgets in the region
  • Provide an actuarial resource to regional and local offices
  • Develop and maintain actuarial models for financial projections, profitability analysis, Asset & Liability analysis, and Economic Capital Analysis
  • Make recommendations to improve financial reporting process for the region
  • Monitor developments in regulatory requirements and changes in actuarial standards and develop plans for implementation
  • Maintain process documentation as required under Sarbanes-Oxley. Ensure performance and documentation of controls

    This position is located in Wilmington, Delaware. Relocation will be considered on a case by case basis.
