Marketing Specialist
The Morning Call, a division of Tribune Company,
is looking for experienced candidates to work in our
Marketing Department. Candidates that wish to be
considered should be high energy and willing to work
events on evenings and weekends. Experience working
with social media, events, contests & CRM a plus. This
candidate will also be aTeam Player - Embrace Change -
excellent problem solving skills - Be self motivated - Able
to multi task. This is a salaried position that includes full
benefits and paid vacation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications,
public relations or related field. Minimum of three years
in marketing, with experience developing promotional
events. Experience coordinating all aspects of special
events, including promotion, site arrangements, activities
and other responsibilities. Able to manage multiple
projects under pressure with tight deadlines. Understands
the advertising sales process and/or experience in
advertising sales. Ability to manage interns and designate
responsibility to be executed in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities:
Schedule print and online ads. Develops and
implements the newspaper?s presence at events and
community venues. Identify opportunities to utilize
Newsroom personalities to plan appearances and
promotional opportunities that will enhance partnerships
while creating Â?celebrityÂ? effect and potential story
lines. Maintains effective relationships with sponsorship
partners. Develop and maintain relationships in the
community on behalf of the newspaper. Manage special
events and on-site activities related to sponsorships.
Coordinate the design and printing of materials related
to sponsorships and events. Perform all other duties
assigned.
