POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for a variety of projects and tasks supporting the .com Contact Center and the Risk/Support department. The work will vary greatly, depending on the current projects and business needs, so this individual needs to be highly adaptive, creative and able to learn quickly.
This individual contributor position works closely with Contact Center leadership and across multiple departments in Jackson, MS and New York.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain data and then analyze the data for business opportunities.
- Analyze general business needs, identifying technical business solutions, writing requirements, leading system implementation efforts and supporting various systems used by the departments.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 5 years of experience working in an analytical or technical function in an operations environment, preferably in an internet or retail company
- General understanding of fraud mitigation tactics for .com retailers
- Highly advanced proficiency with SQL, Oracle, Minitab, Excel, Access and Visio
- Familiarity with basic statistical methods and techniques, including proper formulation of regression models and interpretation of regression analysis results
- Expertise in utilizing Internet and advanced research skills to gather information from public and private databases and news services
- Proven ability to synthesize data into relevant business insights and forward-looking strategies
- Proven ability to formulate practical solutions for loosely-defined business problems/objectives
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly self motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Ability to work independently, set own priorities and multi-task
- Must possess the drive to figure out how things work and be naturally curious
