JOB SUMMARY: Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise-level software components, web applications, and web services utilizing recent Microsoft technologies. Produce high level and detailed design specifications. Participate in providing inputs for enhancements of new or existing features.
Responsibilities

Software design and development of web applications, web services, and enterprise-level infrastructure components.
80%
Determine feasibility of design within constraints. Prepare detailed design specifications from which solutions can be built.
10%
Review system requirements and apply them to software designs.

Other duties as assigned.

Education
A Bachelors (BS) in Computer Science or other Engineering field is highly preferred.
Experience
8+ years software engineering experience.
5+ years of related experience with Microsoft technologies.
Strong object oriented analysis and design skills.
Familiarity with GIS application development and integration is a plus.
Familiarity with OGC (WMS, WCS) standards is a plus.
Computer Environment
Experience or familiarity with most of the following: Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, SQL, Web Services, XML, SOAP, REST, JavaScript, AJAX, Entity Framework, ADO.NET Data Services, UML
Tools: Visual Studio, SQL Server, Subversion, Sharepoint
Operating Systems: Windows
Additional Skills / Communication / Certifications / Licenses
Needs to be self motivated.
Microsoft certifications a strong plus.
Security Clearance
U.S. citizenship required.
Travel Requirement
Occassional travel may be necessary.
