The eastern regional technical support leader handles all the technical support functions for the eastern region for the Agricultural Products Division. Based in your home office in this region the sucessful candidate will work closely and support the retail market managers and the retail business manager who oversee sales in IN,OH,S.IL,MI,KY. All of the "grant in aid" support to universities flows through this role as does the training presentations, localized sales tools, and also resolution of issues. The Technical Support Leader works closely with the other technical support personnel in the other regions, the marketing, and technical development departments. The individual in the role will also work in conjunction with the Technical Support Manager to insure the technical focus of the region is in harmony with the technical focus across the North American Crop (NAC) organization.
Responsibilities:

Maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial, new chemistries & other technology impacting the business

Develop, execute & supervise appropriate support activities aligned with key initiatives.

Manage technical expense, service to sales dollars & product demo budget consistent & aligned with key regional initiatives

Provide technical product training & give regional guidance on complaint handling.

Develop, implement & supervise an influence plan that is aligned with regional objectives

Develop various training modules & take the lead in providing technical consulting & training to internal & external groups. Special attention needs to focused on new product launches & leading the technical transfer of information to Retail Market Manager's & key customer groups.
- Continue to strengthen the communication between other regional technical support groups and internal functional groups.
Eduation:
- MS/PHD in Entomology, Plant Physiology, Weed Science or other agricultural/related science
Experience:
-
5 to 10 years experience with Eastern agriculture, row crops, trees, fruit and vegetables.

MS or PhD in ag related field or an MBA in ag business

Excellent speaking, writing, and computer skills

Working knowledge of ARM
