Description

  • Responsible for planning and implementing the Quality Improvement/Infection Control and Medical Staff Services/Credentialing programs.

  • Responsible for representing Quality Management at medical staff meetings and providing quality data to the medical staff credentialing process as a component of ongoing physician performance evaluation.
  • Coordinates the Sentinel Event Root Cause Analysis and FMEA process.
  • Coordinates facility-wide Patient Safety Program.
  • Maintains compliance with applicable regulatory and accrediting agency standards.
  • Acts as a performance improvement resources to hospital and medical staff.
  • Manages human resources and budgets for the Quality Management and Medical Staff Services Departments.

Requirements Experience:
At least 2 years clinical/hospital experience required; 2 years of hospital-based performance improvement experience required. Management experience required; experience with HCA programs preferred; knowledge of CMS Core Measures and JCAHO Standards required.

Education:
Bachelor of Science in healthcare-related field preferred; RN preferred; CPHQ preferred.

Special Qualifications:
Current Texas professional license
