Description
Operations Manager wanted for a fast paced, innovative fresh cut fruit company located in the state of Washington. This requires a Bachelors degree and at least 10 years experience in food processing. The individual reports directly to the Plant Manager. Direct reports include Production Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Inventory Control/Purchasing Supervisor and Production Office Supervisor. Responsible for the efficient operations of all company products and processes, ensuring that product quality, employee safety, and food safety standards, as well as regulatory requirements are met or exceeded. Manages employees to optimize productivity, supports GMP's including the proper use of equipment and materials, promotes training and development, minimizes turnover and ensures a reliable and effective workforce. Achievement of budgeted costs and yields associated with plant operation. Works with the Plant Manager and Production Team in developing metrics to manage plant operations and cost reduction initiatives and identifies potential capital improvement projects. The qualified candidate must be a team player with the skills and leadership abilities to assist in the development and advancement of the Production Team members. Developing subordinates for the succession plan is critical for this fast growing company. Salary DOE, relocation package, benefits package, and bonus plan available.
