Job Summary: This position will be responsible for directing the overall online marketing strategy for Gaylord Hotels. This position will have oversight over four primary online delivery channels including: (1.) Direct, or via Gaylord owned websites, primarily GaylordHotels.com (2.) Indirect, or via 3rd party partners such as Online Travel Agents and Affiliate sites (3.) Global Distribution System (GDS) partner outlets and (4.) Social media or ?2.0? web networks such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and Trip Advisor.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop the long term strategy for online marketing relating primarily to Gaylord Hotels. This strategy should seek to maximize transactions in the acquisition of new transient and group customers while also seeking to enhance Revenue Per Available Room (RevPar) and profitability.
Directly oversee execution of strategy in all four channel areas working with internal teams who will directly report to this position.
Create and maintain regular comprehensive reporting for all four delivery channels.
Work with broader marketing team to provide support in the online channels for various transient promotions.
Work with the Travel Industry Sales organization to support any campaigns in the online channels for corporate negotiated or consortia, particularly in the Global Distribution System.
Work with Revenue Management organization to manage yield strategies in the online channels.
Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years experience in hotel sales and marketing organization, minimum of three years in travel industry online marketing.
