- Conducts assessments in order to admit patients to the agency's services;
- Adheres to the established care plan and the physician's plan of treatment; continually updates the nursing care plan as needed. Provides skilled nursing care as outlined in the nursing care plan.
- The Registered Nurse documents assessments, services provided, including changes noted in the patient's condition, family dynamics and support systems, revises the care plan as needed, evaluates care provided and progress toward goals. Deomonstrates sound clinical judgment.
- Maintains professional boundaries with patients and their families; represents the professional interests of the company to patients, clients and their family members. Maintains professional demeanor at all times
- Refers questions or concerns patient and/or family member may have regarding Agency policies and procedures or scheduling to appropriate Agency personnel
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of patients and/or employees to include but not limited to; clinical records/condition, family dynamics, personal issues, and finances as per HIPPA regulations and company policies/procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the state(s) within which they will practice
- The ability to communicate effectively verbally as well as in writing.
- Be a United States citizen or have appropriate documentation in order to work in U.S.
- The RN is responsible to ensure their own professional development by attending appropriate internal or external inservice education programs in order to keep abreast of clinical standards and maintain licensure. Internal in-service programs are offered without charge throughout the year and scheduled well in advance so that all may attend.
- Ability to operate motor vehicle, and applicable clinical equipment that may be needed to provide care for patients. The RN is responsible to communicate with the clinical manager if he or she requires inservice or other training in order to operate such equipment.
