Job Description
Job Summary:  The purpose of this position is to develop and monitor the clinical education component.  The position facilates the learning experiences for students during clinical education. Esssential Duties:
  • Ensures the clinical education meets or exceeds the objectives of the program by developing, implementing, assessing and revising the component.
  • Teaches, supervises and evaluates students' academic and clinical performance.  Serves as liaison between students and clinical staff.
  • Participates in recruitment and retention of program students.
  • Educates clinical and academic faculty regarding clinical education.


Job Requirements
Education:
  •  Associate degree as a physical therapist assistant.
  •  Master's degree in physical therapy preferred.
 Experience:
  • 3 years clinical experience as a physical therapist assistant.
  • 3 years clinical teaching and/or clinical coordination experience.
  • Current member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Prior teaching experience in a physicial therapist assistant/physical therapist academic program preferred.
License/Certification:
  • Licensed/registered/certified as a physical therapist assistant.
  • Licensed physical therapist preferred.
