Job Description:
In this role you will support PMS 450E as a member of the On Site Team at Electric Boat in Groton CT for the Virginia Class Submarine Non-Propulsion Electronics Systems (NPES). You will perform inspections/ validations of 2D mock ups, tactical units and pre cable kits at various contractor and government facilities and assist with the resolution of problems resulting from these inspections. You will work with both shipyards to ensure equipment is delivered on time as required by contract, and track delivery of NPES Government Furnished Equipment in support of Virginia Class Construction and Modernization. Additionally you will investigate connector hardware suitable replacements to ensure adequate fit when limited space is available, perform measurement validations on the CCSM SIEs and review pre-cable kit lists, wiring tables, cabling diagrams, power and equipment drawings and other pertinent documentation. Minimum Requirements:
At least 10 years experience and in depth knowledge of submarines, submarine non propulsion electronic system and cable connector component requirements. College Degree preferred. Must be a team player and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Office. Occasional travel to Quonset Point and other facilities as needed required.
