Overview:
Primary purpose and function of this position
The purpose of the Sr Marketing Research Manager is to provide market insights for a therapeutic area, through primary and secondary market research and competitive intelligence. The manager serves as a consultant and information resource for strategic and tactical decisions. The manager is responsible to lead all market research and market analysis within the marketing and launch teams. He/she will be also a member of the Biologics NA Marketing Team, of the GCSF cross functional team and of the NABP Cross Divisions Market Research Team.
Reporting to VP&GM NA Biologics or NA Marketing Director, Biologics
Responsibilities:
Provides qualitative and quantitative primary research to support product positioning and messages, tactic development, promotional effectiveness measurements, and track customer attitudes and usage
Identifies, collects and analyzes information from secondary information sources; integrates primary and secondary research findings and competitive intelligence to provide market insights
Serves as a key information resource for the business planning process
Plans and executes studies, manages vendors, reports results, makes recommendations and ensures information is understood and utilized in marketing and other functions; integrates information from multiple data sources to draw conclusions and make fact-based recommendations
Identifies research needs and opportunities, develops marketing research plans, tracks and manages product or therapeutic area marketing research budget
Develop competitive intelligence tool to monitor market evolution and monitor competitive situation
Leverage expertise and resources from the NABP Market Research group
Reporting dotted line to the NABP Market Research Director, and will be part of the cross division NABP market research team.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with at least 3 yrs experience in marketing research required
Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred
