Buyer/Planner 2 To utilize the Buying/Planning Skills of Teamwork, Planning, Purchasing, Scheduling, & Project Management to meet the Goals of the Materials Group & Company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 'Responsible for along with knowledge of planning tools (MRP), buying, & scheduling of production related needs and related material through the production system to meet the company objectives. 'Understands and executes the Policies & Procedures (both financial & inventory) of the company in satisfying the day to day requirements of production scheduling. 'Understands & Utilizes Lean Manufacturing tools within the various areas of responsibility to meet Departmental Objectives 'Work in & promote a team environment including the participation on cross functional Continuous Improvement teams and could lead a team. 'Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling with regard to movement of materials/services. 'Ability to manage recovery & exit strategies to meet manufacturing requirements 'Aggressively seeks out cost reduction opportunities within the product lines of direct responsibility. 'Develops solid relationship with Suppliers directly related to the line of products purchased & is the lead contact is some cases 'Any other project assigned by your manager
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE AND KNOWLEDGE: (List other functions) '3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 'Understanding of the relationship between Quality standards & Production requirements 'Strong Time Management skills 'Has the ability to work with general supervision 'Ability to understand, analyze, & close most problem solving issues 'Detailed and Systems oriented 'Development of System Improvements 'Strong project management skills 'Team building, interpersonal skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 'B.S Business or Equivalent 'APIC Certification Preferred 'SAP and BPCS knowledge a plus. 'General computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.) 'Proven track record of Organizational skills 'Medical Products Experience a plus
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE: 'Strong working relationship with Production & Engineering groups from both Manufacturing & Divisional 'Reports through Departmental Supervisor 'Presentations presented to Departmental Management 'Works with high levels of management, both internal & external
QUALITY: 'Knowledgeable in the use of SOP's, GMP's along with the specific standards of FDA.
