Description Covid, Inc., a leading manufacturer of Audio Visual Connectivity Products, is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our team. This is a Challenging and Rewarding Career Opportunity for an energetic, highly motivated and results orientated individual. The selected individual will be responsible for overseeing the Research & Development, Design, Costing and Quality Control of audio visual cable assembly and wall plate products. Specific Responsibilities include:

1. Oversees cable assembly and wall plate builds in regards to quality control

2. Identify and resolve product performance issues, ensure TQM

3. Develop detailed Plans, Build Documentation and Customer Documentation for all Products.

4. Work closely with Sales and Management team to address costumer needs, assess the feasibility of proposed ideas and translate them into product designs

5. Assist in the technical training of the sales staff and help provide customer support

6. Assist in developing strategic OEM/EMS partnerships and assist with negotiating related contracts

7. Serve as a resource for senior level design and and development

Requirements The Product Development Engineer shall possess at least an Associate's Degree in Engineering / Electronics / Technology / and a minimum of 5 years working experience in the electronics industry; or equivalent education with work experience.

Additional Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of Professional Audio Visual Industry

2. Experience with Audio Visual Cable products and/or CNC Manufacturing

3. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Visio

4. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

5. Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized

6. Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date

7. Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business and engineering documentation.
