RF/analog or microwave solid-state circuit design engineer, specifically with significant experience in power amplifier and multi-chip module board design including matching networks and/or filter design. The candidate will be part of a product development team composed of other design engineers, technicians, and layout designers to effectively plan and execute RF/analog IC and printed circuit board designs to meet critical deadlines within the cost and performance criteria provided by customers and marketing. The candidate will face challenging performance parameters in the design of power amplifiers, power control schemes and front-end module products for the very fast paced and competitive wireless handset market.
Design simulation tool or equivalent
Product Realization Process (PRP)
Knowledge of Design Architecture
Knowledge of test parameters and test equipment
Device or Product Characterization Knowledge
Preferred:
Expertise in multi-chip module design including 2D/3D electromagnetic simulations of passive circuits in Momentum/HFSS (or equivalent tool) and module layout in Allegro (or equivalent tool)
Experience in transistor level analog CMOS circuit design, simulation and layout of various analog/RF circuit blocks in Cadence (or equivalent tool)
Proven ability to debug and optimize RF/analog ICs and modules in the lab using standard lab equipment
Self starter with excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work cohesively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced small team environment
Experience in the design of linear and saturated CMOS power amplifiers, T/R switches and/or controllers
Experience in designing under a phase gate product development process with stringent deadlines
MSEE / Ph.D. with related experience
