Position: Distributor Specialist

Reporting Location: Bronx, NY
Physical Location: Philadelphia Area

General Position Description: This position will focus on merchandising standards, store audits, pack-out, and resetting assigned stores. Must be self motivated in order to service a large geographical area in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and time management skills. Must also have great attention to detail and be able to accommodate a fluctuating schedule.

Position Requirements:
  • Prior DSD and or grocery store experience preferred
  • Dependable transportation
  • Work in cold environment for long periods of time
  • Repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Able to adapt to a flexible work schedule which includes some weekend work.

    Position Responsibilities:
  • Accurately complete required reports in timely manner
  • Conduct store audits, report observations, store level conditions and competitive activity
  • Continual efforts toward improvement of product placement and pricing
  • All stores should be set to merchandising standards
  • Take product from back freezer and merchandise inline space, display space and bunkers.
  • Validate pricing
  • Ensure all product on shelf is “good quality” (i.e. remove all spoils, rotate product)
  • Place all authorized POS material
  • Maintain “Flavor to Tag” discipline
  • Make sure floor is kept dry around work area
  • Ensure store satisfaction before leaving
  • Communicate opportunities/ problems to Supervisor
  • Accurately complete required reports in timely manner
  • Participate in resets
  • Maintain excellent relationships with customers and grocers.
