Responsibilities - Testing new products and features in all stages of development - Owning all steps of the defect life cycle including: finding and reporting defects with detailed, accurate and concise steps to reproduce, duplicating reported defects from customers, assisting developers in researching defects, debugging or troubleshooting setup configurations - Verifying defect fixes when returned from development in a working build - Analyzing software specifications for the purpose of test development - Executing test plans accurately and reporting results - Reviewing and providing risk/quality assessments of business, functional and design requirements and specifications - Reviewing user and design documentation to ensure accurate description of implemented functionality - Actively participating in project teams when needed to provide input on areas relevant to software quality assurance - Assisting the QC and Development teams in identifying program enhancements - Creating, executing and recording the results of test cases - Reporting issues having a direct and material impact on successful completion of assigned tasks
Qualification: - BA/BS degree in computer-related field - 3+ years experience of manual testing with Windows and web experience - 2+ years testing applications with Oracle database backend - 2+ years of experience writing automated tests using Borland Skills
