We have an immediate need for a Netbackup professional
JOB DESCRIPTION
Will be responsible for providing Backup/Recovery and/or Disk/SAN administration support specifically Veritas Netbackup. Daily tasks include: scheduling and monitoring backups, performing problem determination on failed backups, reporting monthly measurements and managing storage capacity, making recommendations to improve environment, propose solutions to issues in a planned timeline, maintaining current documentation, attending scheduled meetings, and disk management (ie: extending file-systems, storage on demand, etc.)
Required skills: Veritas Netbackup
24/7 shift coverage, may be required to work nights and weekends
Experience in UNIX and Windows Operating System
Experience with tape libraries
Experience with Data Migration
Experience with Mulit-Site Data Replication
Ability to troubleshoot issues independently
Experience in a remote environment
Previous backup & recovery administration in a diverse environment
Coverage includes 24X7 pager support
8-5 with weekend coverage (pager rotation)
