Corporate Headquarters PURPOSE:
Participate in the ongoing process of meeting Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance for Freightliner and other Truck Group subsidiaries. Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are both efficient and effective through assessment and testing of controls and procedures.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assess and evaluate entire key business processes across multiple departments from a standpoint of risk of financial misstatements and/or fraud.
Coordinate and direct business process owners in the identification of key financial controls. Determine the effectiveness of key internal controls over financial reporting including both new and existing processes, systems and controls.
Drive assessment of the significance of control gaps or deficiencies and actively participate in improvements to processes and the remediation of control deficiencies.
Manage facilitation for key assessors and reviewers within the company to meet ongoing Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements. Provide guidance for the process of maintaining high quality control design documentation and periodic effectiveness testing of key controls.
Assist and support the ongoing review and updates to Sarbanes-Oxley training materials as necessary. Ensure assessors and reviewers receive training on a timely basis.
Work directly with external auditors and the Daimler SOX Project office as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field with 4 years of related experience OR an Associates degree with 6 years of related experience is required.
One year of group leader/ project lead or mentoring experience is required.
Knowledge of IFRS, FASB and Sarbanes-Oxley legislation is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance including internal control assessment and testing is preferred.
Masters degree in accounting, finance, business or related field is preferred.
CPA, CMA, CIA or CISA certification is preferred.
Previous experience in a large manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience in SAP or other ERP Environment is preferred.
Experience with System Development and Project Auditing is preferred.
