Providence TrinityCare Hospice, established in 1977, is the oldest and largest
non-profit hospice in Southern California and the first to be licensed by the
State of California. Caring for people in Los Angeles and Orange Counties with
professional teams in Torrance, Van Nuys and Cerritos, Providence TrinityCare
Hospice is Medicare Certified and CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program)
accredited. We also provide the only specialized pediatric hospice service in
Los Angeles County.
The heart of Providence TrinityCare Hospice is to work together with patients
and their families to make the individual's remaining months and weeks of life
as meaningful and comfortable as possible.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Hospice Billing and Finance Supervisor is responsible for assisting
functions of the general ledger, information systems, required external
reporting and internal management reporting. The Hospice Billing and Finance
Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing the billing and collections of all
Hospice revenues and transactions. In addition, along with other certified
Suncoast trainers, provides technical training and support to staff.
MINIMUM SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor�s degree required.
2. Minimum 3-5 years healthcare billing/collections experience.
3. Demonstrates strong microcomputer skills/experience.
4. Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and capable of
mastering new software applications in a timely manner (e.g., Suncoast).
5. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.
6. Demonstrates ability to make effective verbal presentations and write
effective reports.
7. Demonstrates ability to speak and understand English language with the
ability to comprehend and communicate effectively.
8. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and effectiveness in working well
with others.
9. Must be a California licensed driver with an automobile that is in good
working order and insured in accordance with state and/or Providence
LCMHS/TrinityCare Hospice requirements.
PREFERRED:
1. Three years� preferred experience/responsibility in supervisory role.
