Ultra Electronics, ProLogic is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer for a position in Omaha, NE that works with minimal supervision/guidance.
Qualified candidates will have a strong GIS development background with experience with ESRI products such as ArcObjects, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE. Software design/code is done mainly in Java using J2EE/SOA/ESB web services architecture. Previous experience with Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise applications in net-centric environment is helpful.
Generally, incumbents possess a degree plus 6 - 10 years of applicable experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of a BA/BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or an applicable engineering or technical subject, plus a minimum of six years of software development experience.
Two or more years directly related to software development engineering in Java. A thorough understanding of Java gained through formal training can substitute for this experience
Four or more years of experience in software development using Object Oriented Methodologies.
REQUIRES US CITIZENSHIP.
Requires eligibility to satisfy requirements for a Secret security clearance - candidate must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC).
Desired Qualifications:
2+ years experience with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop (ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo)
Development experience with ArcObjects, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE and CJMTK
Experience installing, managing, and developing web base mapping capabilities using ArcIMS / ArcGIS Server
Ability to perform agile development of tools to be embedded within an ESRI based set of web services applications
Two or more years of experience using J2EE/web services architecture. A thorough understanding of J2EE gained through formal training can substitute for this experience.
Experience in XML, Eclipse IDE, HTML, and/or visualization techniques a plus.
Exposure to image processing, database design, 3D computer graphics, visualization technologies, modeling and simulation
General knowledge of other disciplines and how they relate to software engineering, including systems, hardware, integration/test, configuration management, and quality engineering.
Experience using MS-Office suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
