Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital � Torrance has served the South Bay

women�s and children�s health, oncology, homehealth and is at the forefront of
minimally-invasive robotics technology for cardiac, gynecologic and urologic
procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Documentation Nurse acts as a liaison between coders, nursing unit
team Members, care management team and physicians; performs concurrent chart
review assessing the need for further documentation to support accurate DRG
assignment; communicates extensively with physicians; performs chart audits at
physician/administrative request; assists with monthly educational articles in
physician newsletters; and performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
REQUIRED:
1. Current California Registered Nursing License.
2. Minimum3-4 years experience in Care Management or Utilization Review or
equivalent experience in an acute care setting.
4. Member of ACDIS or willingness to become member and actively participate in
ongoing educational opportunities.
5. Excellent communication skills. Ability to assertively and independently work
with flexibility in developing the job responsibilities.
6. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position as defined
on the RU-91 form.
7. The ability to establish and maintain a courteous and cooperative
(service-oriented) working relationship with patients, families, visitors,
hospital staff and co-workers.
8. Requires the ability to fluently speak, read, write and understand English.

PREFERRED:
1. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
