Wire Harness Design Engineer

Volt Workforce Solutions, a multinational provider of talent to Fortune 100 companies, has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking candidates for a variety of Volt positions onsite at client's facility located in Mossville, IL. These positions will range in skill level and duration.

Job Description:

The incumbent must have a technical degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in the design and development of wiring harnesses. A demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; communicating technical information across departments and customer business units while driving development efforts forward, and with a minimum of supervision is necessary. Familiarity with electrical components and their function in electrical systems is also desired.

The incumbent will be required to design wiring harnesses for machine and engine applications using Pro/E. Responsibilities may include helping to create wiring diagrams, participating in electrical system FMEAs, writing and performing electrical system functional tests, and supporting machine build efforts. Regular communications with other harness designers, electrical system designers, harness manufacturers, component engineers, and Global Purchasing will be required. Other responsibilities will include providing assistance during wiring harness installation audits. Some local and/or international travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 year of work experience relevant to the position.

Excellent longevity in previous positions.

4 years Bachelor degree.

An individual with previous experience in earth-moving electrical harness design/development. The incumbent will be efficient in designing wiring harnesses using Pro/E, electrical systems design guide, design FMEA processes, and design control checking/releasing processes.
