Senior Developer- ETL - 7885

Description Responsibilities

Five to ten years of work experience in IT Applications development with at least 5 years experience specific to ETL architecture, development and execution of ETL processes, requirements and standards
Specific advanced knowledge of ETL development tools including Microsoft SSIS (preferred), Ab Initio, Informatica, Datastage, or DTS
Familiarity with object-oriented programming methods. Visual Basic .NET or C# background preferred
Advanced database knowledge including Oracle, SQL Server
Relational database modeling skills
Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Microsoft Reporting tool, a plus
Familiarity with SQL Server Analysis Services a plus
Previous experience with data warehousing, data integration and relational data modeling
Excellent analytic skills
Deadline focused, detail oriented, well organized and self motivated
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time efficiently
Ability to gather business requirements from client and translate those requirements to technical specifications.
Bachelor¿s Degree required.

About the Opportunity

Responsible for oversight and development of ETL architecture, design, programming and implementation for marketing database projects
Analyzes and defines data flow requirements
Documents technical specifications
Prepares and implements data verification and testing methods
Responsible for creating re-useable processes that help implement each solution
Works with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and expectations in order to develop appropriate product applications
Provide mentoring to junior developers
Ensure projects stay on task by acting as a liaison with project management and developers
Stays current with latest technologies and best practices in the industry

Requirements Key Accountabilities
Development of complex extraction, transformation and load processes (ETL)
Performance and tuning of ETL processes and preparation of business and technical documentation
Maintaining a set of development standards in conjunction with team architects
Working with project team to plan, design, develop, and implement application systems and/or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs
Conduct appropriate testing of applications to ensure quality

Metrics
On-time delivery of project components and responsibilities
Customer satisfaction
Completion of technical documentation
