Salary is commensurate with experience and a terrifc benefits package is offered. **MUST HAVE STRONG COST ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE AT THE PLANT LEVEL AND SOLID EXPERIENCE IN DEALING WITH OPERATIONS** This position works directly with plant senior management preparing annual budgets and reports. Responsible for accurate accounting classification of all expenditures, including cash flow, manufacturing cost, capital, etc; the preparation, maintenance,and reporting of all plant accounting ledgers and other financial and statistical reports, related and supporting detail or sub-ledger files and reports in accordance with Division policies, practices and timelines. Ideal candidate must a be strategic thinker and must be able to combine this with the use of financial modeling and other best practices to determine best financial approach, to meet productivity and financial goals while maintaining budget controls. Duties will include but are not limited to: ' Ensure SOX compliance at the plant level ' Develop and report all plant level KPI's ' Report and analyze all manufacturing variances ' Focus on material utilization, yields, and waste ' Identify and report on cost drivers that impact the plant's financial performance ' Month-end financial closing process ' Weekly estimate (soft close) of plant performance ' Reconciliation of all plant level Balance Sheet accounts ' Resolve plant level A/P issues ' Champion cost savings projects ' Manage Capital Project requests regarding justifications, paybacks, and post audits. ' Manage and control the Fixed Assets at the plant level to include transfers and disposals ' Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all inventories for which the plants are responsible ' Facilitate and analyze the production factors that drive the plant product std and actual costs ' Analyze utility rates and consumption to include the audit of bills to ensure accuracy ' Quantify the Cost of Quality for the plants; Customer Claims due to Mfg Defects ' Develop and maintain the Plant Performance Report ' Recommend and facilitate best use' alternatives forimpaired inventories at the plants ' Generate the annual Plant Operating and Standard Cost Budgets; Strategic Plan ' Track, report and forecast all Start Up and Shut Down expenses ' Understand,quantify and report on the impact of inflation on plant costs Additional Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline. Master's preferred.Beginning course work towards CPA,CMA, or other comparable certification preferred. 8+ years of job specific work experience required. In-depth understanding of GAAP, financial accounting principles and practices, specifically as they apply to costing, capital expenditure, budgeting and internal reporting. In-depth knowledge of financial control, processes, and systems, as well as cost estimation and control, and budget management. Demonstrated experience in the following areas: strategic planning and analysis, and management consulting with strong emphasis on relationship management. Demonstrated experience facilitating or leading projects to include organizing, planning, and executing small to medium scale projects from vision through implementation, with diverse stakeholders such as internal plant personnel, and other business units.
