The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management
  • A minimum of 10-15 years experience (with at least 5-10 years of construction management or resident engineering experience) working on small and large civil/environmental construction projects.
  • P.E. and/or CCM preferred. Additional certifications and licenses in general contracting, water, and wastewater a plus.
  • Water and wastewater treatment plant and pipeline related experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, written/verbal communication skills, and prompt/accurate judgment abilities a must
  • Excellent time management skills are essential
  • Must be a team player, self-starter and detail oriented 


  • Job Requirements 

    Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Construction Engineer to assist the Construction Management Resources Team (CMRT) Leader in construction projects located in the Michigan area. The person will work as part of our construction management team on various water and wastewater projects located in Michigan. Candidate must have a demonstrated knowledge of construction and construction management practices. The position will report to the Central CMRT Leader and will assist in the management of and performance of CM services, including quality control, scheduling, cost engineering, document controls, permitting, regulatory compliance, safety, startup and commissioning and overall administration of various projects. Large scale Water and/or Wastewater Treatment related experience a plus. Responsibilities will include construction management duties as well as Resident Engineering staff at key projects and regular interaction and coordination of activities with the Client Managers, clients, contractor, design engineers, and other project stakeholders.
