Service Technician
Job Description
Technicians Job Requirements:
The primary work area of responsibility will be the Upstate of South Carolina, Western North Carolina, with a second area of responsibility in Eastern Georgia.
Must be willing to satisfy vendor certifications requirements for equipment sold and serviced.
Must be willing to work flexible hours and scheduled weekends and holidays as required.
Must be familiar and trainable in using a personal computer.
Must supply hand tools, except for special tools supplied by employer.
Must be responsible for maintaining the suggested inventory on assigned service vehicle.
Must be responsible in conducting daily preventative maintenance checks on company vehicle. Report any problems to service manager.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and work without direct supervision.
Must be courteous and professional in all actions with customers and fellow associates.
Must complete all written service orders, weekly reports, and other paperwork as needed.
Must be "safety-oriented" and follow all established safety procedures.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Requirements:
Will provide a service vehicle and all required administrative paperwork.
Will provide the technician with a cell phone, laptop computer with air card and fax machine.
Will pay a $75.00 maintenance fee every six months for hand tool replacement.
Will provide any special tools required. (Example - (1) 5-Gallon Prover)
Will pay $25.00 per weekend when the technician is required to be on call for emergency service calls. This will be paid quarterly.
Pay period begins on Friday of each week and the period will be based on a 40-hour work week. Any overtime pay and/or weekend/holiday pay will be paid at time and half of wage when 40 "billed hours" have been met during the Friday thru Thursday work week.
Working hours: flexible
Job Requirements
Qualified candidate must have a valid drivers license, be mechanically inclined. Possess own tools. Be willing to work flexible hours and be on call for some weekends and Travel 50% . Must be willing to submit to criminal background check, drug test, and driving record check.
