Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring support of business systems by providing analytical and technical support. This position is for our Hauppauge, NY office.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop well-articulated solutions that meet all technical and business requirements.
Able to promptly answer support related e-mails, phone calls, and other electronic communications.
Create and implement the best technical solutions for a given problem.
Act as the liaison between business/user group representatives and other team members during development and support efforts.
Conduct research to solve complex problems and support specific application(s) assignments.
Deliver simple to complex technical solutions with limited to moderate supervision.
Maintains an acceptable level of technical proficiency in current area of focus.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
4 – 6 plus years of Microsoft.Net development experience (ASP.Net, C#).
3 – 5 plus years of development experience in SQL Server 2005.
3 plus years of OLAP, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services experience is preferred.
3 plus years of JavaScript/jQuery programming.
1 plus years of development experience using MVC and LINQ.
Familiarity with SQL Server 2008 and TFS is strongly desired.
Development experience on multiple platforms.
Some experience with IT management disciplines, such as project management is a plus.
Experience with multi-technology components in complex platform environments.
Complete understanding of some business areas, such as Development, Systems Engineering, and Architecture.
Strong knowledge of infrastructure and application architecture, testing procedures, system security, optimization/availability management, contingency planning and back-ups.
Able to construct clear, well-structured memos, letters, presentations, and other materials.
Strong knowledge of various operating systems protocols and tools.
Experience with multi-platform environments and security systems.
Strong communication skills
Strong team player.
Must be U.S. citizen.
