Job Description

The broad objective of this position is to effectively manage and implement policies and programs as they relate to resource management for McCain Foods USA. Initiate, develop, plan, and implement the necessary operational, maintenance, and project activities to support the facility resource management functions. Monitor and assess manufacturing operations from a resource management perspective. Coordinate resource management work activities with McCain standards, initiatives, and requirements. Communicate resource management progress and issues to the Director of Resource Management and Environmental Engineering, and Senior Management when requested. Evaluate, develop, and mentor plant level resource management work groups and personnel. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Resource Management Program Development And Implementation – Solid Fuels (Natural Gas, Fuel Oil, Steam), Electricity, Biogas, Water, Fryer Oil, Starch, Chemicals, Packaging Material, Recyclables, Waste Materials; Energy KPI And Benchmark Reporting, Resource Management KPI And Benchmark Reporting; Develop, Organize, And Participate In Resource Conservation And Reduction Teams. Independent Study And Project Development Concerning Discrete Plant Components As Related To Resource Conservation (Examples – Blanchers, Starch Recovery, Lighting, Ect.). Utility Rate Structure Analysis (Electrical/Natural Gas). Assist Production Facilities In Utility Natural Gas Nominations And Interruptible Electrical Supply Management. Review Regulatory Proposed Changes At Federal/State Level And Evaluate Impact To Company Operations. Participate As Company Representative In State Regulatory Intervention Organizations (Example – Wisconsin Industrial Regulatory Group, WIEG) And Report To Management Any Impacts To The Organization. Review And Evaluate Federal/State Programs Related To Grants/Rebates On Energy Reduction Projects And Programs. Participate In Resource Management Conservation Presentations To Management As Requested. REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or Related Field. 5 years of experience in the energy and resource management area. Evidence of energy and resource management knowledge and experience. Travel: Up to 50% travel required.
