Overview:
The CIS Division of Tyco Electronics, a manufacturer of highly engineered solutions to the automotive, telecommunications, industrial, medical, rail and marine markets is seeking a Materials Manager to join our Wire and Cable Manufacturing site in Worcester, MA C. We are looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic, positive, team player, open-minded and new challenge seeking Manager with background in Wire and Cable Manufacture. Ideal candidate will have experience working in a wire manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide best possible service to trade and intercompany customers.
- Responsible for planning group to plan all production through the manufacturing process.
- With Manufacturing, responsible for On Time Delivery Metrics.
- Key conduit for information being supplied to and from Sales and Marketing on lead times and due dates.
- Work with local and corporate management to achieve plant metrics.
- Work with Product Development to facilitate prototype production in the plant.
- SAP Experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
- Familiarity with Excel, Word and PowerPoint a plus
- Four year college degree in technical or business studies.
- Minimum of five years progressive achievement in materials management including three or more years in direct responsibility for planning and exempt level supervision.
