Compensation: $50.00 to $70.00 per hour

My client is searching for a Network Security Engineer. A potential candidate should have the following requirements:

• Incident Response - The ability to analyze logs from multiple sources to respond to internal incidents as necessary

• Vulnerability Management - The ability to assess new threats to Company's environment and to document necessary actions, if any, that Company's IT should take to mitigate the vulnerabilities VPN's

• Microsoft SQL Server - The ability to write T-SQL for queries to various databases

• Network Vulnerability Scanning - The ability to operate an enterprise vulnerability scanner. Company uses Foundstone, but Qualysis and nCircle are basically the same thing. Experience with one is the same as experience with all

• Coordinating with engineering on roadmaps, automation, and operational improvement activities across multiple environments

• Network Scanning - The ability to use NMap to identify and classify threats to Company's network using NMap

• Metrics - The ability to summarize risks for senior management for non-security functions

• May lead or guide the work of other staff engaged in similar functions

• Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings

• Microsoft Windows 2003/XP/Vista/2008 - A background in Microsoft Operating Systems, including IIS
