job description
The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for the preparation of journal entries for input into the general ledger for financial reporting purposes and to provide detail account analysis, reconciliation and supporting work papers for designated general ledger accounts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists in the preparation of financial statements
- Analyzes various prepaid and accrued accounts
- Analyzes various quarterly reserve accounts
- Reconciles cash accounts
- Coordinates and manages fixed assets accounts
- Assists in monthly equipment obligation reconciliations
- Assists in the preparation of monthly debt reports
- Assists in special projects as needed
job Requirements
Job Related & Physical Requirements:
- Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and potentially holidays as needed by the customer
Minimum Experience, Education, and Training Required:
- BA or BS in Accountancy strongly desired
- At least 5 years accounting experience and/or auditing experience preferred
- Familiarity with PC (Microsoft applications)
- Financial background; P&L experience, familiarity with accounting practices
