Responsibilities
The Director of Finance and Business Operations for Perioperative Services is responsible for preparing and monitoring all preoperative budgets in conjunction with the Vice President of Perioperative Services and Nursing Directors. This position directs fiscal and information systems technology. The incumbent designs and implements cost reduction strategies to meet NewYork-Presbyterian fiscal targets. Strong communication skills are required to work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing colleagues as well as contacts external to the Department.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's in health care administration or finance, supported by demonstrated competence in financial management. Additionally, this position requires successful experience with management of salary and non salary budgets for large and diverse departments, and as a purchasing and/or contract negotiator. Computer and data analysis skills are critical.
