This position is a Team Lead for the Nursing Development QA team.

Position Description


POSITION SUMMARY:

Supervise and oversee the performance and career development of direct reports. Facilitate the use and improvement of a software development lifecycle. Coordinate and conduct necessary product release activities as dictated by the Software Development Lifecycle to include managing software development teams, gathering functional requirements, providing direction for the development, reviewing and testing software products, and instilling a culture for structured processing within a team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for developing performance plans and monitoring the progress of direct reports.

  • Responsible for managing the oversight and involvement of software development personnel in the system requirements process.

  • Responsible for managing the creation of design documentation to ensure a usable, architecturally sound solution.

  • Responsible for gathering estimates, scheduling, and monitoring all activities within a project, Responsible for managing multiple projects and coordinating cross-team efforts.

  • Responsible for managing matrix resources, when necessary.

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of direct reports throughout the software development process.

  • Responsible for defining processes to improve quality and productivity.

  • Responsible for demonstrating leadership and upholding company principles.

  • Responsible for communicating the status of projects and efforts.

  • Responsible for issue logging, tracking, analysis, reporting and management.

  • Responsible for complete product and system testing.

  • Responsible for documentation including test plans, installation instructions, internal release notes, and design documents.

  • Responsible for the ongoing product maintenance.

  • Frequently must direct field troubleshooting efforts.

  • Responsible for data gathering and rating recommendations to manager in performance appraisal, discipline, career counseling, selection process.

  • Responsible for all communications and advisories with salary manager concerning team members.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Education / Training: Bachelor¿s degree or equivalent experience.

    Business Experience: 4 years of experience in information systems analysis, design, development, testing and/or implementation

    Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Project management skills.

  • Leadership experience.

  • Development process control.

  • Client/server and 3 tier Object oriented software development, relational databases & SQL

  • Must be accountable and responsible for working on Business critical products that operate 24/7/365 and are distributed nationwide to many clients.

  • Must have the ability to provide 3rd level support for all products involved with, whenever necessary.

  • Verbal and written communications skills. Technical writing, system documentation, design document-management skills.

  • Demonstrated self-starter, interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve problem independently. Creative problem solving skills.
