Description Responsible for the oversight of UHS hospitals regional outcomes management and survey preparedness to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations. Develops programs and processes to support positive outcomes for compliance with areas such as core measures, NPSG’s and HCAHPS. Manages resources and logistics to support MIDAS software, TJC survey process and resource consumption projects at the acute care facilities.
  • Collaborates with leadership and teams to assess and ensure compliance with quality improvement, patient safety and corporate compliance plan against internal (policy/procedure) and external (contract/program) requirements; reports regularly on results
  • Organizes and facilitates regularly scheduled educational programs with leadership,directors, team leaders and staff to support and implement quality and corporate compliance as a strategy

  • Facilitates and coordinates accreditation processes, to ensure satisfactory completion and to improve compliance

  • Develops and implements educational programs for all hospital leadership and directors in quality improvement principles and corporate compliance requirements

  • Facilitates and advises organizations on clinical quality and patient safety teams

  • Assists in the development of quality and performance improvement practices


Requirements
  • Five to ten years management experience, with a working knowledge of healthcare management, benchmarking, outcome measurement, team development and quality tools. 
  • Knowledge of statistics, data collection and survey design. 
  • Database management and/or development.
  • Highly developed organizational, interpersonal and management skills. 
  • Must have an understanding of data acquisition (storage and retrieval), medical records coding, hospital billings, and clinical knowledge.
  • Strong skills in oral and written communication.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Travel requirement: 50 – 70% 
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) status preferred
