Job Description
Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to create and implement the customer facing output for the business.  This position will have responsibility for managing a team and supporting and enhancing the goals of the business.  
 
Major Areas of Accountability
 
  • Manage a department of pooled resources that act as an internal agency to serve the various vertical marketing and product marketing teams.
 
  • Manage key vendor relationships to achieve maximum benefit and minimize budget.  Routinely review and scorecard vendor partners.
 
  • Collaborate with Vertical Market Manager (VMM), Product Manager (PM), sales and internal customers. Provide project management for the production of all advertising collateral to include: print collateral, print media, advertising, promotional pieces and other collateral as required.
 
  • Own the content management for internet and websites and act as marketing contact for website functional upgrades.
 
  • Manage the technical publications team and processes.
 
  • Manage 100% of trade shows.  Supply consistent content for National and customer specific shows.   Supply consistent messaging for local and regional trade shows.
 
  • Manage to an annual budget and track actual vs. budgeted amounts.  This will include auditing invoices and other activities as necessary.
 
  • Manage the content and consistency of message for training programs on site, in the field and online.
 
  • Manage the brand execution to include style guidelines, positioning, message, voice, etc.
 
  • Collaborate with the channel marketing managers to manage the development and production of Point of Purchase and packaging materials.
 
  • Produce output of consistently high quality that supports and enhances our company, brands and images in the marketplaces we serve.
 
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our customer’s preferences for various selling tools and media types.  Identify new capabilities, technologies and tools that can be leveraged into our mix to improve reach and effectiveness.
 
 
Minimum Qualifications Required:
 
  • Bachelors Degree, MBA preferred
  • 5 or more years in a marketing communications role
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • 2-3 years experience managing direct reports
  • 3 or more years experience in ecommerce and internet marketing
  • Strong drive to succeed and make an impact on the business
  • Expert level computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
 
Leadership:
This role has a team of 4 employees
 
Travel Requirements:
25 – 30% travel, mostly domestic
