The Laboratory Schools annouce a unique administrative leadership opportunity in its Alumni Relations and Development Office. The Executive Director will serve as the chief development offi cer for the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, bearing responsibility for designing and executing a comprehensive fundraising plan that encompasses annual and capital campaign components. T
The Laboratory Schools are among the largest independent schools in the country with a history dating to 1896 under the auspices of John Dewey and the University of Chicago. Located on the beautiful U of C campus, the Schools serve children (N-12) from the metropolitan Chicago area - with approximately 50% of the students coming from families affiliated with the University. The University environment attracts a rich and diverse student body and parents who value and support a quality educational program.
Compensation will be competitive. Minimum required qualifications include a bachelor's degree and a minimum eight years of relevant experience at a management-level position in development and fundraising activities with a not-for-profit organization. Master's degree preferred.
