  • Manages investments in Europe, Asia and Australia, totaling over $38 billion in real estate and real estate securities worldwideTo provide human resources generalist support in the Hartford Office located in downtown Hartford, CT. This position will provide HR consulting services to US real estate operations in Hartford, San Francisco, and Dallas. The role holder will be the main HR contact in the office and will be responsible for client relations, recruitment, implementation of HR strategy, supporting organizational development and change management, employee relations and regional projects. It is a high profile position and the position holder will work directly with the Head of Human Resources Global Real Estate and with senior line Management at the Hartford office.
  • Serve as a member of the UBS Global Asset Management Americas HR team
  • Deliver HR services to client population in the areas of recruiting, compensation, benefits, education & development
  • Provide business-oriented HR solutions, integrating functional expertise/experience and company wide business objectives
  • Subject Matter Expert regarding HR processes, programs and practices necessary to drive business goals and objectives. Ensure the effective execution of the talent management process, annual performance cycle, compensation and workforce planning/management
  • Identify trends via key metrics and proactively provide input/solutions for relevant business needs which guide or influence management decisions
  • Special projects, tasks, rollouts, etc
  • Facilitate a positive relationship between all areas of the human resources function by ensuring clear and consistent communication with timely delivery of information and solutions
  • Provide strategic and tactical HR support to line managers
  • Partner with the compensation department on compensation, incentives, and reward programs
  • Partner with line managers and recruiting in sourcing, hiring and retaining talent
  • Assist managers in understanding and applying HR related policies and processes
  • Influence key hiring decisions providing HR information or assistance to help 'close' the deal with the candidate
  • Understand industry trends to make recommendations for implementation of “cutting-edge” HR initiatives and practices to be an Employer of Choice
  • Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with organizational leaders in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance
  • In collaboration with Employee Relations, continually assess, respond and proactively address employee issues
  • Facilitate management and employee development programs
  • Occasional travel required to Dallas, San Francisco. Travel to New York office twice monthly.Requirements
  • 4 years Bachelors Degree or International equivalent, MBA desirable
  • Minimum of seven years of HR experience in generalist roles
  • Minimum of seven years in the Microsoft Suite of products is essential; Peoplesoft International a plusPreferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of general business and business strategy concepts and the ability to contribute ideas to the design and implementation of HR strategies/programs/processes
  • Ability to proactively assess needs, implement tactical and strategic solutions to influence change in an effective and sustainable manner.
  • Capacity to build relationships/partnerships to work with people at multiple levels within an organization
  • Aptitude to coach managers, employees and teams to drive performance and behavior in alignment with Firm and business objectives
  • Versatility and flexibility to work within a changing environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills are essential
  • Previous HR experience in a financial services institution
  • Experience of working independently with clients but as a part of a broader HR team
  • Highly developed consulting, coaching, facilitation, communication, problem solving, analytical, workforce conflict management, decision making, counseling and organizational development skills
  • Result orientation
