Based in Stratford, Connecticut, USA, Sikorsky has outlying facilities in other Connecticut locations as well as in Florida and Alabama.
Position is for an Airframe Process Engineer to support the After Market Engineering group at the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) in Corpus Christi or at Chase Field in Beeville Texas. Responsibilities for this position include recommending process improvements to the customer, along with providing liaison support of airframe disassembly, structural rework, and aircraft assembly. The candidate will implement manufacturing improvements, which may include generating tooling and assembly sequence changes. He/she will also be responsible for providing engineering support to production control, quality, safety and participating in customer rapid improvements (Lean events).
B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Aviation Maintenance or equivalent experience required.
4+ Years Aerospace experience. Candidate should have knowledge of airframe assembly and systems installations. The ability to interpret engineering drawings, parts list and application lists are required. Experience with technical manuals is highly desirable. The preferred candidate should have Sikorsky H-60 product knowledge, which may include depot level airframe or system maintenance. Experience in a military or government service environment is desirable.
This position is for support of the airframe overhaul and repair of H-60 Sikorsky Helicopters in Corpus Christi, Texas or Chase Field in Beeville, Texas.
Relocation may be considered.
