Description Supports Lean Sigma Initiatives and Marsh business unit managers in the analysis, development, and implementation of both technology-based and process-based business solutions.  Communicates with operational units to measure and define the problem needing resolution and develops process enhancements or technology solutions.
 
  • Collects, evaluates, and prepares research and/or other complex statistical data as needed for a specific problem being assessed.
  • Prepares statistical and narrative reports and recommendations, and participates in the analysis and interpretation of data.
  • Evaluates alternative options to solve problem at hand, and  in some cases will develop database solutions or business measurement systems.
  • Identifies opportunities to utilize existing, enhanced, or new business methods to streamline work processes, documenting existing and/or new processing for communication to users within the organization.
  • Consults with management on an ongoing basis to ensure applicability of project attributes, including development of project plan and presentation to management.
  • Coordinates user review and approval at all stages of system development and delivery, which includes gathering system requests, developing test plans, executing user acceptance testing, documenting final procedures, and training users on new procedures.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of supported business unit(s) within Marsh.
  • May manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion of all projects stages, and consults with management on an ongoing basis to ensure applicability of project attributes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • College degree with significant focus on MIS, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Some relevant work experience in process automation or Management Reporting required.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC methodology required.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet customer needs via creative problem-solving.
  • Ability to analyze data, make decisions independently, and execute action items.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with all project team members.
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems without assistance.
  • Required: Advanced user of Access, MSSQL, VBA. Visio, Excel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
