  The University of Maryland Medical System at The University of Maryland Medical CenterExperienced Technical Project Lead Analyst Develops or modifies highly complex or technically advanced systems, or develops system enhancements.Determines project scope, objectives, and information processing requirements for the development of new or the modification of existing systems.Prepares accurate and complete technical specifications, such as schema or file specifications, program specifications, backup and recovery controls.Documents system design, specifications, and operations guidelines.Responsible for the project planning and management functions related to the technical issues.Develops prototypical systems or system components to demonstrate technical feasibility, including the utilization of new hardware components and software development tools and techniques.Provides expert level input to hardware and software evaluation efforts related to the purchase or use of new hardware, new systems, and new system or application development software.Oversees and directs the work of technical project personnel as required.Provides technical expertise and assistance to other software developers and non-programming project members as required.Qualifications:A Baccalaureate degree in Computer Science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field or equivalent is required. A Master's degree is highly desirable.Six years of progressively responsible programming experience is required, four years must have been in the design and modification of complex systems.Demonstrated skill in two or more technically advanced skills, not limited to, expertise in multiple operating systems and/or hardware platforms, advanced language development capabilities, network design, programming and administration experience, advanced user interface development tools, and database management system administration.Demonstrated experience in systems analysis, user relations, and management information systems.Demonstrated effectiveness in communications to work effectively with senior department staff, end user management and other information system users.Ability to train junior staff members and to work as part of a team.CB
