  • Currently Saint Francis Hospital is looking for a qualified Medical Technician to assist with the Warren Clinic Laboratory in Stillwater, Oklahoma. 

     

    The successful candidate must:

     

    • Performs testing according to established procedures.
    • Receives and processes specimens, components and/or requisitions. Reports accurate test results.
    • Performs quality control, equipment maintenance and instrument calibration defined
    • Conducts oneself in a professional manner.
    • Functions as a float in more than one laboratory department (if applicable).

     

    This position normally requires:

     

    • Adequate keyboarding skills to use the computer efficiently.
    • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively exercise independent judgment in planning the sequence of
    • Operations and making minor decisions in a complex, technical, or professional field.
    • Ability to organize work in an effective and efficient manner
    • Ability to be detail oriented in the examination of clinical and numerical data.

     

    Education:

     

    • Must have Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or related biological/chemical field.
    • Certification by an agency acceptable to the secretary or agency approved by NAACLS is required in addition to degree.
