GPS Manufacturer/Distributor Provides strategic direction and lead teams responsible for development and maintenance of on-going forecast and demand planning processes including the maturing of the S&OP (sales & operations planning) processes. Responsible for the ongoing development of Garmin's CPFR (Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment) programs, including the continuous improvement of strategic relationships between key CPFR customers and Garmin. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Develop global strategies working with cross functional teams of operations and sales/marketing in the areas focused on forecasting accuracies, demand planning as the leader in the S&OP process related to consumer, fitness, recreational, marine, automotive, OEM and aviation (Taiwan built) products
- Oversee and drive team facilitation of the monthly S&OP process including maintenance of forecast development consensus demand plans and gaining full alignment with business owners and executive management
- Teaming with the other supply chain business leaders (aviation and ODM) in developing and implementing S&OP best practices across the globe
- Establish annual forecast accuracy targets. Measure weekly/monthly forecast error results versus established targets and identify and report on root cause for forecast error below targets
- Work closely with Supply Planning and Operations leadership to ensure alignment on forecast updates and potential operational impacts
- Communicate with the supply group in the prioritization of demand schedules for daily and weekly adjustments to balance the supply and demand of products as needed to support critical customer demand
- Ensure inventory levels and customer service goals are established and maintained
- Develop, implement and lead key performance metrics associated with Garmin's CPFR process. Develop KPI's, including actionable metrics at the individual customer level
- Direct and develop strategies for the supply chain team in support of the CPFR (Collaborative Planning Forecasting Replenishment) processes with major retail and OEM customers
- Ensure successful customer promotion execution through effective planning and leverage of key customer event inputs within a CPFR process
- Applies continuous improvement and analytical techniques to drive global improvement in S&OP and performance
- Apply expertise to continuously improve products, processes, procedures and personnel
OTHER RESPONSIBILITES: - Accept and complete projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: - Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, Operations or Material or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in running S&OP meetings
- Excellent analytical skills to quickly analyze, interpret and recommend solutions to key stakeholders
- Strong Project Management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Firm grasp of Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Broad business knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain systems
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Must be detail-oriented
- Highly motivational and self directed
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: - CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) Certification by APICS
- Oracle ERP Experience
- 10+ years experience in S&OP forecasting, demand planning, supply planning or materials management
- American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification [Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)]
- Knowledgeable of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
