Description
The Online Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of online marketing programs for Chamberlain. The Manager owns all aspects of customer-facing online platforms for the purposes of driving enrollment and serving students for all product lines including the direction and execution of the design, content, features and functionality of the corporate website. This position reports to the Director of Marketing for Chamberlain College of Nursing and will ensure that advanced online strategies, tactics and techniques are fully employed for the benefit of our brands.
- Manages relationships with third party agencies to ensure that all online systems are developed, deployed and maintained on-schedule, on-budget and to the highest standards of excellence.
Manages media planning and the development of online creative content.
Assists with developing and implementing the marketing strategy for online programs.
Accountable for all public websites and micro-sites as well as staff and student portals.
Manages the online marketing budget and monitors expenditures.
- Guides and directs internet marketing activities, including website development, search engine optimization and email campaigns.
- Manages execution of organization's social media strategy; Tracks, monitors, responds, and engages in social networking communications.
Measures, analyzes and reports on the effectiveness of marketing activities.
Analyzes behavioral data and conducts online research regarding competition, product demand, student demographics, etc.
- Updates and modifies websites/pages and develops applications.
Uses existing media/market research to plan media buys.
Partners with Campus and Online Deans and with Admissions to implement marketing plans.
Works with the IT team to ensure that online platforms are appropriately integrated with backend operation systems.
Advises team members in the development of online creative ideas, campaigns and advertising on a national level.
Ensures that online issues are effectively anticipated and addressed, and appropriate actions are taken to solve problems.
Works on special projects and performs related duties as assigned by supervisor

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing or a related field, required.
At least five years of marketing/online /electronic media experience (includes knowledge of PPL, PPC, Social Media, Ad words, and SEO) experience in a corporate marketing or agency environment is required.
Knowledge of leading edge, online sales and marketing techniques and technologies is critical.
Must have experience managing technical teams and agencies for the development, deployment and maintenance of online sales and marketing platforms designed to drive sales and build the business.
Previous experience should demonstrate progressive responsibilities including a track record of managing complex, high volume work streams as a project leader and/or team member, preferably in a dynamic, high-pressure culture demanding high quality thinking and output on a timely basis.
Must be a strong negotiator, self-starter and detail-oriented.
Project management and creative thinking skills desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications is required.
