We are seeking a Voice & Data Systems Engineer to join our IT team! In this role, you will participate in overall planning, design and support of voice and data network solutions, including support and services surrounding PBX, remote phone systems, video conferencing, and WAN technologies across the organization. In addition, you will partner with IT leadership and provide technical guidance in overall design, installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links.
Additionally you will provide expertise in the following areas:
Telecommunication Engineering and Delivery Services: Assist in managing all aspects of voice and data services, such as, but not limited to, cell phones, toll free services, international calling, local service and long distance service, centralized billing and pooling plan management. Data services and technologies including but not limited to MPLS networks, video conferencing and VOIP solutions.
Network Infrastructure Services: Deploy and administer company WAN and LAN infrastructure; including routers, switches, UPS and other hardware.
Telecom Customer Support/Problem Resolution: Provide answers and solutions to user questions/problems regarding telephone-related hardware and software.
Project Management: Manage small telecommunications implementation projects and work with locations, including acquisitions, to assess their needs for lines, equipment and services. Analyze information and makes recommendations to management of ways to improve service and reduce costs.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following education, experiences and skills:
BS/BA in computer science, math communications, OR equivelent combination of education and experience in networking and telecommunications industries.
5-8 years increasingly responsible experience in the networking and telecommunications fields to include but not limited to the following:
5+ years experience owning the responsibility for
implementing/supporting large enterprise networks
3-4 years of telecommunications administration experience
4 years managing phone and voicemail systems
2 years of leadership with project management in a team enviornment
