Description
This position is responsible for the direct sale of TALX Corporation services to eCommerce Government and Social Service prospects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities and calls on key decision makers of prospective clients.
- Develops sales strategies and effectively manages assigned territory to maximize revenue potential.
- Makes follow-up calls and conducts research to qualify sales leads.
- Builds and maintains prospective customer relationships.
- Enters prospect data and other sales data into database.
- Works with Client Relationship Management Team to maximize client revenue potential.
- Works with Business Development Representative to pre-qualify leads.
- Represents TALX at national and regional trade shows and user meetings.
Requirements
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business
- 3-5 years successful service-based solution selling in a business-to-business environment dealing with senior management
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Client Service Oriented
- Strong problem solving and market research skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales experience in a business-to-government environment
- Knowledge of SalesLogix, ACT! or similar prospect management database
Computer Skills Required:
- Proficient with Windows based and Microsoft applications
Physical Requirements or Environmental Factors:
- 30% to 40% travel required
